Job Summary
Provide expert technical advice and recommendations while leading design reviews and proposing methodologies for complex system design or customer issues. Research and develop technologies with an R&D focus, perform requirements development including elicitation and traceability, and conduct system analysis and functional tests to establish performance standards. Make technical proposals to internal and customer groups, protect intellectual property, and investigate new technologies to improve cost and performance. Act as a functional expert and mentor to other employees while maintaining advanced technical knowledge through workshops and benchmarking.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BS) (or Professional Engineer (PE) certificate) in engineering or a science technical discipline
- minimum of 7 years of related experience
- Comprehensive, advanced knowledge of product or domain engineering theories, principles, industry practices, concepts, techniques, government regulations, and policies, including ISO-9000/9001 and AS9100
- Demonstrated ability to research, develop, and integrate new technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and conceptual acuity to establish and maintain technical alignment across all stakeholders, and to influence varied audiences to gain support or resolve issues
- Makes effective presentations on complex topics to top management, customers, and/or other key stakeholders
- Ability to apply and integrate knowledge of other related engineering areas or experts to own area of expertise
- Working knowledge of MBSE principles
- practical experience applying MBSE principles on formal development programs using tools like Cameo
- Proficiency with specialized data analysis, and engineering design tools
- Ability to establish and track performance to goals and objectives to complete complex or major projects and provide direction to the team at project milestones
- Ability to respond to significant inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or other internal teams
- Must be a U.S. Citizen

- Master's degree (MS) preferred
- specific experience in Thermal Systems strongly preferred
