Systems Engineer 3

Systems Engineer 3 at Onto Innovation. Design, maintain, test, and deliver hardware and software solutions with peers, customers, management, and marketing to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability. Perform performance tuning and capacity planning; install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and system management tools; build and improve scripts for install, upgrade, and management of products; participate in product requirements with cross-functional teams; diagnose root causes and provide clear written/verbal updates. Collaborate with US and international teams, with 20% travel domestically and internationally. Qualifications include BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent with 3+ years of experience supporting large-scale software systems; strong Unix/Linux experience; proficiency in Java, C++, and C#/.NET; Bash scripting; SQL/Oracle; familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes; semiconductor industry exposure; and demonstrated analytical and communication skills.
