Job Summary
Own enterprise systems through their full lifecycle by understanding usage patterns, vendor roadmaps, and necessary changes. Engineer solutions that create leverage by building integrations, automations, and internal tools, including AI features like intelligent routing and automated triage. Contribute to the Datadog codebase by collaborating with Engineering teams to ship targeted features such as support tooling and in-app experiences. Solve business problems by partnering with TS leaders to engineer fixes that drive adoption rather than just technical complexity. Monitor, maintain, and iterate on production systems to diagnose issues early and optimize performance. Use AI coding tools daily to ship faster and articulate how these habits improve team workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience with enterprise platforms and production software
- Experience administering, extending, or integrating systems like Salesforce, Zendesk, Jira, or similar
- Experience building software that real users depend on (web services, APIs, data pipelines, or applications)
- Strong in Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Ability to work across the stack
- Demonstrated fluency with AI coding tools
- Experience building AI-powered features
- Experience with LLMs, embeddings, RAG pipelines, or agent frameworks
- Experience contributing to a large shared codebase with established engineering practices (code review, CI/CD, feature flags, observability)
- Background in technical support tooling or customer-facing business systems
- Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment
