Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain serverless and containerized systems across multiple isolated AWS partitions using CDK and CloudFormation. Own CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts in Python and PowerShell, and observability tooling for service health within air-gapped boundaries. Troubleshoot operational failures, improve Windows enterprise services, and participate in design and operational readiness reviews. Coach teammates on engineering best practices and provide on-call support for critical communication and authentication services. Maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and opt into agency-specific clearances. Work closely with Network Engineers, Data Center Operations, and Security teams to deliver integrated solutions for internal customers supporting the Amazon Dedicated Cloud for U.S. Government.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
- Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
- 2+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
- The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work
Desired Qualifications
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
