Job Summary
Develop concepts for systems and subsystems, conduct requirements analysis and management, and create detailed specifications. Execute system integration, error detection, and testing while assisting with quantity take-offs and schedules. Present technical proposals at customer sites, negotiate technical details with partners, and monitor work packages against targets. Coordinate key system documents, lead technical reviews and audits, and prepare decision-making documents for make-or-buy choices. Report development results in project status meetings and monitor current technical trends. This role supports in-house innovation and research within the defence field in Bremen, Germany.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Several years of professional experience in a technical department
- Experience in the technical management of projects
- Fluency in German and English (spoken and written), particularly technical English
- Field of optronics
- Understanding of optronics
- Knowledge of weapon systems
- Knowledge of vehicle-based data interfaces
- Knowledge of infantry and vehicle sensor systems
- Knowledge of laser technology
- Knowledge of optronics
- Knowledge of the transition of components from the development phase to series production
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in modeling systems with SysML
- Experience in systems engineering at the system-of-systems level
- Experience in requirements engineering
- Strong intercultural skills
- Knowledge of laser-based measurement methods
- Knowledge of laser measurement technology
- Knowledge of laser-based code transmission methods
- Knowledge of systems for implementing simulation methods for ballistic weapons
