Job Summary
Systems Design Engineering Manager responsible for leading MBSE-driven system design and architecture for valve programs (TOV and C-Ball) across full product lifecycle (NPD/NTD, configuration management, sustaining, and customer projects). Based in Lugagnano Val d’Arda, Italy, the role interfaces with product leadership, PMO, mechanical design, materials, and test teams, coordinating cross-functional resources, translating customer/business needs into system requirements and structured engineering plans (BPRS, SyRS, PBS, WBS, SEMP). Responsibilities include technical ownership, program/status reporting, risk management, issue resolution, and driving continuous improvement; requires leading a team and collaborating with procurement, suppliers, and customers. Requires university degree and ~10 years of experience in systems engineering or related fields, strong analytical/problem-solving skills, proficiency with MS Office/Project/Power BI, and fluency in English and Italian with willingness to travel internationally.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Energy, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Around 10 years of experience in Systems engineering, Project engineering, mechanical design, or similar technical roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using FMEA, Root-Cause Analysis, or statistical tools
- Ability to manage multiple engineering activities in a fast-paced, global environment and drive process improvements
- Effective communication skills and the ability to present technical information clearly to various audiences
- Proficiency with engineering and productivity tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Power BI)
- English and Italian proficiency and ability to travel internationally as required
- Experience with industrial valves (TOV, C-Ball), testing, verification, and validation (preferred)
- Knowledge of relevant valve standards and codes (preferred)
- Familiarity with MBSE, LEAN methods, and design-for-manufacturing principles (preferred)
- Good technical French, both written and spoken (preferred)
