Job Summary
Systems Architecture Engineer providing on-site architectural support to USINDOPACOM and ETA planning and development, assisting in the design, development, and evaluation of Network Theater Architectures. Responsible for producing architectural artifacts (diagrams, models, specifications), evaluating feasibility and performance of options, aligning architectures with DoW/USINDOPACOM standards, collaborating with engineers and stakeholders, and overseeing network configurations to ensure effective integration and optimal performance. Role involves on-site support during experimentation events, high-level operational needs translation into technical requirements, and leading design/engineering projects for ETA experimentation with advanced networking principles and configurations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting the DoW, including military operations
- 5+ years of experience in systems integration or network infrastructure for a complex DoW network
- Experience in developing network design layouts and presentations using network diagram tools
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with multi-vendor firewalls, switches, routers, and cloud networking design for both hybrid and cloud native deployments
- Knowledge of SDN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, application load balancing, and network visibility
- Knowledge of the USINDOPACOM AOR
- Knowledge of the TCP IP protocol suite, IP subnets, masking, routing protocols, network bandwidth, and related practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
