Job Summary
Systems Application Engineer II responsible for shaping intelligent automation solutions across North America by designing and delivering vision, machine learning, and analytics solutions that integrate SICK Sensor Intelligence with third-party technologies. Partners with sales, industry teams, integrators, and customers to develop system concepts, provide technical guidance to pursue opportunities, test and validate systems, deliver customer training, and contribute to competitive analysis and strategic product direction. Requires translating complex customer problems into structured technical solution architectures for multi-sensor, vision, or machine-learning-based systems. Must be able to travel up to 75% (including international), work in an office environment with hybrid options, and possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of industrial automation experience.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in industrial automation roles
- 4+ years working with vision inspection systems and machine analytics
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Travel up to 75% of the time including internationally
- Legally permitted to work in the country you are applying and willing to undergo an employment background check
- Be on-call on some weekends (if required)
