Job Summary
Systems Analyst/System Administrator role focused on Windows-based system configuration, administration, compliance, maintenance, and documentation within a chemistry-technology IT environment. Responsible for managing Group Policy, HBSS/ESS, firewalls, and related security/compliance tooling; perform patching, vulnerability remediation, and SOP/documentation tasks; support diverse systems and ensure reliability for critical operations; requires DOE Q security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience administering, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows operating systems and associated infrastructure.
- Experience administering, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows operating systems and associated infrastructure.
- Experience managing Group Policy Objects (GPOs), host-based firewalls, and endpoint compliance tools.
- Knowledge or experience with HBSS/ESS or similar host-level security/compliance platforms.
- Experience performing system patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation to maintain system health and compliance.
- Experience supporting standalone and boundary-specific workstations and devices; conducting hardware/software compliance checks, certification reviews, and baseline enforcement.
- Experience performing workflow analysis, documenting test results, and developing/updating SOPs.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues related to operating systems, applications, and system utilities; coordinate with engineering or development teams.
- Participation in projects to deploy, upgrade, or enhance infrastructure, applications, or system components.
- Ability to prepare and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and automation scripts/utilities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Active security clearance (DOE Q) or ability to obtain one.
