Job Summary
Analyze clinical and operational workflows to recommend system solutions that improve efficiency and data accuracy. Support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of hospital information systems while troubleshooting issues and coordinating resolution with internal teams and vendors. Assist departments with reporting needs, participate in system upgrades and testing, and provide technical guidance to users across clinical and administrative areas. Maintain system documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. This full-time, exempt role requires on-call availability and is based onsite at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting healthcare information systems or enterprise applications
- Experience supporting system implementation, configuration, testing, and deployment activities
- Experience analyzing business or clinical workflows and translating requirements into system solutions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex application environments
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, vendors, and hospital departments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- On-call availability
