Job Summary
Systems Analyst I maintains Seaspan’s live business systems and provides end-user support, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to identify recurring issues, analyze information from multiple sources, produce incident reports and troubleshooting articles, and support testing, UAT, and change management. The role supports emergency production issues, contributes to project planning, and participates in workshops, with an optional hybrid work schedule after onboarding. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and several years of related experience with core IT/operations processes and interfaces to on‐premise and SaaS applications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or completion of a Post-secondary Diploma in Computer Science
- 2 - 3 years of related work experience (systems analysis, application development and support, operations support, service desk)
- 1 - 2 years of technical experience with programming languages, database administration, and server administration
- Experience in supporting at least one core operations process such as order to invoice, procure to pay, product lifecycle management, material resource planning, or manufacturing
- Experience in developing and maintaining interfaces for both on-premise and SaaS applications (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to various audiences
- Ability to collaborate with peers and internal/external stakeholders
- Ability to act as a subject matter expert for assigned applications
- Understanding of troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques
- Technical knowledge of programming languages and relational databases (e.g., .Net, Java, C#, SharePoint, Oracle, SQL Server)
- Understanding of business operations and ability to demonstrate continuous learning and development of business acumen
