Job Summary
Systems Administrator responsible for configuration and maintenance of parallel file systems in a Linux environment, including coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and management of operating system images, compilers, libraries, and tools to support user and development environments. Technologies include Linux, AIX, Red Hat, GPFS, NFS, XFS, ext4, Bash, Perl, Python, and storage subsystems from Tivoli Storage Manager, Hitachi, IBM, and EMC.
Required Qualifications
- US citizenship required for federal government position
- Experience with Linux systems administration
- Proficiency with Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat)
- Shell scripting: Bash, Perl, Python
- Experience with GPFS, NFS, XFS, ext4 file systems
- Experience with storage subsystems (Tivoli Storage Manager, Hitachi, IBM, EMC)
- Ability to configure and maintain parallel file systems
- Knowledge of operating system images, compilers, libraries, and development tools
- Documentation, testing, debugging skills
