Job Summary
Conduct daily system monitoring, perform migrations via Hyper-V and VMware, and deploy and configure servers with associated hardware and peripherals. Review system and application logs, ensure systems are fully patched, and verify that backups are completed successfully. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues internally and for customers while providing tier 2/3 technical support as required. Maintain data centers at various locations, migrate customer email platforms, and ensure documentation remains up to date. Participate in an on-call rotation with compensation included. This role supports the client's Managed Service Provider and Internet Service Provider lines of business within Kitchener.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ Years Windows System Administration experience
- 2+ Years Linux System Administration experience
- Strong understanding of network and storage fundamentals
- Strong understanding of monitoring software
- Microsoft Certification (MCSA or MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs
- HyperV, VMware or equivalent certification in relevant programs
- Experience managing enterprise virtualized environments in HyperV or VMware
- Experience managing enterprise scale email deployments
- Experience administrating Windows Server and Active Directory
- Experience deploying and managing NAS and SAN storage environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a vehicle, valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
