Job Summary
Design and implement secure system configurations, installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux-based hardware, software, and cybersecurity tool sets. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot faults, and coordinate upgrades with third-party vendors while documenting all equipment failures and repairs. Perform capacity planning, execute scheduled system updates, and maintain ATO documentation and security monitoring procedures for SIEM and log validation. Report system status to stakeholders and interface with equipment vendors to resolve complex issues. This role supports the Operations Research and Cyber Analysis division, requiring up to 10% travel for remote client events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3-5 years directly related experience
- Experience with system design, system security design and best practice, system building process development (Linux, Secure Host Baselines, Windows Server, Windows OS, etc.)
- Problem solving and time management capabilities
- Experience working independently and in team-oriented, collaborative environment
- US Citizenship required, successful candidates will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Must possess and maintain DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification
- Security clearance (Top Secret//SCI Required), and the ability to maintain it throughout employment
- Must be able to travel up to 10% to support remote events
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in Linux
- Background and functional knowledge in MS Windows
- Experience with routing and switching in multi-vendor environment (Dell, Cisco, Juniper)
- Experience in VMWare and virtualized architecture and environments
