SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Job Summary
Maintain, support, and document server, storage, and affiliated hardware and software configurations while troubleshooting non-application software problems. Administer system-level security functions, manage Active Directory and email directories, and provide administrative support for Microsoft 365 Online applications. Install and maintain server-based system software and hardware, minimize service impact, and refer software failures to external vendors for resolution. Track task progress, make recommendations for cost containment, and contribute to training programs. Perform NERC Compliance Program roles and maintain audit-ready evidence retention. Available on a 24-hour basis for system malfunctions, with potential for extra hours, weekends, and travel in an industrial environment.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in business or a computer related discipline
- If not possessing a four (4) year degree, a minimum of four (4) years business-related experience including two (2) years in information systems/technology
- Three (3) years of IT experience, one (1) of which must be direct experience as a system administrator installing, monitoring, and maintaining servers, operating systems, security tools, hardware, and software tools in a medium to large scale organization

- Travel may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Experienced candidates may be considered for the Systems Administrator II job level if they meet the following requirements: Three (3) years of IT experience, one (1) of which must be direct experience as a system administrator installing, monitoring, and maintaining servers, operating systems, security tools, hardware, and software tools in a medium to large scale organization
