Job Summary
Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services, evaluate system configurations and security settings, and support virtual desktop and end-user computing environments. Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for business and engineering applications, handle account provisioning and license assignments, and perform routine server maintenance including updates, monitoring, and backups. Analyze infrastructure and application issues to identify root causes, collaborate with the Security team, and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance service reliability. This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office at Scout Motors' Charlotte, NC headquarters, with occasional travel for company events.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration
- Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux basics
- Basic understanding of identity and access management, such as Microsoft Entra ID
- Ability to follow direction, work well as part of a team, and communicate clearly
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Residing in San Francisco
- Residing in Los Angeles
- Residing in New York City
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree
- Exposure to compute, storage, networking, and virtualization concepts
- Familiarity with virtual desktop (VDI) or end-user computing environments
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, particularly Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
- Some exposure to scripting or automation (such as PowerShell)
