Job Summary
Monitor systems and perform monthly patching for Oracle database environments on Windows and CentOS servers. Troubleshoot network and application performance issues, responding promptly via ticketing systems or by traveling to customer locations during off-hours for resolution. Implement system hardening using Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and maintain documentation including Standard Operating Procedures and Security Test Procedures. Collaborate with government customers, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with project specifications and timelines.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph adjudication or the ability to obtain SCI clearance and pass a polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- 4 additional years of relevant experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience with System Administration
- Active Security+ (DoD 8570 Baseline certification for IAT Level II)
- Proven ability to install, configure, and maintain systems per project specifications
- Experience with the implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)
- Experience maintaining applications in SQL Server or Oracle database environments
- Experience writing scripts to monitor system services, resources, and data mining logs
- Proficient in writing/editing PowerShell scripts
- Strong experience with Microsoft Windows 2016 or higher and Red Hat Linux 8 or higher operating systems
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud and VMware
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for server-based applications and IT infrastructure components
- Ability to perform occasional after-hours tasks, including system restarts, application upgrades, and software maintenance
- Ensure proper documentation of system operation and maintenance procedures
- Perform performance monitoring and provide issue documentation, including recommendations to management
- Maintain and patch systems, software, and applications to eliminate security vulnerabilities and ensure technology currency
- Participate in change management processes including patch compliance and Information Assurance Validation Testing
