Job Summary
Manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise server environments supporting Intelligence Community customers by installing, configuring, and administering systems to ensure reliability and availability. Develop build documentation, configuration baselines, and asset records while performing deployments, upgrades, security patching, and baseline changes. Monitor server health and capacity metrics to provide tuning recommendations, respond to service requests and outages, and support backup, recovery, and data restoration activities. Coordinate infrastructure transitions and maintain server rooms to ensure compliance with organizational standards. Evaluate existing infrastructure to recommend hardware refreshes and system enhancements. Participate in after-hours or on-call support, special projects, and technical planning. Requires TS/SCI clearance with FSP.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience administering Windows and/or Linux server environments in an enterprise environment
- Experience with server installation, configuration, patch management, operating system upgrades, and lifecycle administration
- Knowledge of server monitoring, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and capacity planning
- Experience troubleshooting server hardware, operating systems, and enterprise infrastructure issues
- Familiarity with asset management, system documentation, and configuration management best practices
- TS/SCI with an FSP
- ability to obtain or maintain a U.S security clearance
- U.S citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, or other federal government IT environments
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with enterprise storage solutions, Active Directory, Group Policy, and remote administration tools
- Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar technologies
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), VMware VCP, or equivalent systems administration certifications
