Job Summary
Administer and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft SQL Server environments across production and development. Configure virtualization technologies including VMware, Citrix, and Remote Desktop Services while deploying and monitoring application servers. Implement security best practices, perform system scripting with PowerShell, and maintain accurate technical documentation. Troubleshoot system, network, and application issues and participate in on-call rotations for system alerts. Ensure reliability and performance of hosted services while providing exceptional support to internal users and external clients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience administering Windows-based systems in enterprise environments
- Proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server administration
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server management and backup/restore procedures
- Strong understanding of virtualization and application hosting technologies (VMware, HyperV, Citrix, RDS)
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, VBScript)
- Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Linux administration or hybrid Windows/Linux environments
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with enterprise firewall and backup systems
- Experience with ERP software management or database platforms (Progress, MySQL, Oracle)
- Exposure to project management practices or ITIL-based service frameworks
