Systems Administrator (Intermediate/Senior)

Job Summary
Administer, maintain, and secure enterprise server environments, virtualization platforms, cloud technologies, and storage solutions for mission-critical government operations. Monitor system performance, execute patch management, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies while managing backup and recovery operations using NetBackup and Veeam. Develop standard operating procedures, support cloud migration initiatives, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize system reliability and availability. This role supports the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation headquarters in Orlando, FL, focusing on operational excellence and modernization efforts.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification or higher
- Four (4+) years of experience supporting, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise IT environments
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate certification
- Experience supporting Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and enterprise infrastructure services
- Experience administering Windows Server 2012 or later operating systems
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows PowerShell, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 services
- Experience supporting virtualized environments, including VMware and Linux-based systems
- Experience supporting cloud-based environments, cloud migrations, and cloud administration activities
- Experience providing enterprise application support
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity best practices
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams, customers, and all levels of management
- Non-remote (relocation incentive available)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Service Management, or a related technical discipline
- Baseline certification required within six (6) months of hire if not already obtained
- Experience supporting Windows Server 2012 or later operating systems
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows PowerShell, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 services
- Experience supporting virtualized environments, including VMware and Linux-based systems
- Familiarity with vulnerability management and security assessment tools such as ACAS, Nessus, and Retina
- Experience supporting cloud-based environments, cloud migrations, and cloud administration activities
- Experience providing enterprise application support
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity best practices
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
