Job Summary
Support approximately 800 users across Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, VMware, and broader network infrastructure while managing hardware, workstations, backups, and security. Resolve user issues, troubleshoot systems, and enforce sound IT practices by maintaining strong relationships and guiding requests through established processes. Transition technology responsibilities into a dedicated internal team as the organization builds its independent Information Systems function from the ground floor. Work closely with internal technology leaders to learn the environment and gradually take ownership of divisional operations.
Required Qualifications
- Approximately 8-10 years of progressive IT and technical support experience
- Several years of direct systems administration responsibility
- Strong Windows and Active Directory experience
- VMware and server virtualization experience
- Experience supporting servers, workstations, hardware, and end users
- Exposure to networking, switches, connectivity, backups, and security
- Broad technical knowledge rather than experience in only one narrow area
- The confidence to enforce the right process while remaining patient and approachable
- The desire to remain hands-on today while growing toward leadership
- Manufacturing experience
- An associate or bachelor's degree in a computer-related field
- Equivalent professional experience to the degree requirement
- On-site position in Lincoln, Nebraska
- Occasional on-call or weekend project work
