Job Summary
Maintain Windows, Exchange, and SQL servers in virtualized and clustered environments while monitoring performance, logs, and backups. Configure Microsoft Active Directory, manage service accounts, and perform routine system updates, audits, and upgrades. Support VMware ESX, vSphere, and Horizon environments alongside enterprise storage systems across multiple remote sites. Troubleshoot application events, track technical issues, and assist end users with technology solutions. Implement backup and recovery procedures, participate in disaster recovery exercises, and ensure systems remain secure through cybersecurity best practices. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for maintenance tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related degree preferred
- 4+ years of experience working with Windows Server and Active Directory
- Strong experience with Windows Server and desktop operating systems
- Experience performing system maintenance, support, upgrades, and backup functions
- Experience with VMware ESX, vSphere, and VMware Horizon
- Experience with enterprise storage systems
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and secure system administration
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow production issues through resolution
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation
- Proficient typing and computer skills
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for maintenance, upgrades, or other tasks that cannot be completed during normal business hours
