Job Summary

Deploy new PC hardware, printers, and desktop application software while installing, upgrading, and maintaining servers, workstations, and laptops. Manage the ticketing system, monitor virus threats, and perform backups of business data using Synology. Support phone systems, cell phones, and InTune Mobile Management, providing consultation on hardware selection for specific application needs. Isolate system problems quickly to take corrective action on Windows and Linux environments, including Azure AD, Office 365, and Docker/Containers. Take initiative to develop cost-effective solutions and work with vendors to ensure project compliance. Be on call 24/7 for critical systems support.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Information Technology, MIS or equivalent from an accredited college or university
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of computer science and the methods, techniques, practices, and procedures utilized in computer programming
  • Knowledge of Linux and maintenance of Linux systems
  • Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of hardware
  • Knowledge of information systems, technologies, and applications
  • Knowledge in basic operation/support of VOIP Phone systems. (FreePBX)
  • Knowledge in the supporting Point of Sale systems. (Agilysys)
  • Knowledge in all phases of PC hardware setup, configuration, and routine support
  • Knowledge in all phases of desktop system troubleshooting, repair, and problem remediation
  • Proficiency in basic systems support of Microsoft Windows 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2022 Server Operating Systems
  • Proficiency in the setup and administration of Office 365 Administration specific Azure AD with Ad sync
  • Proficiency in support, update and administration of Microsoft desktop operating systems including Windows 10, and Windows 11
  • Knowledge in use of various virus control software applications, i.e., Malware Bytes and email filter
  • Knowledge in technical support and administration of comprehensive virus control program
  • Knowledge in support and administration of comprehensive backup/recovery procedures. (Synology)
  • Knowledge in supporting data communications infrastructures and related hardware/software
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to analyze situations and adopt appropriate courses of action
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under stressful conditions, make solid decisions, and exercise independent judgment
  • Ability to isolate system problems quickly and take proper corrective action
  • Ability to understand and translate technical terminology and reports into a clear and logical format
  • Skill in presenting and explaining technical information to others
  • Skill in reviewing and interpreting complex technical documents, manual, journals, and instructions
  • Skill in system troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Knowledge of PFsense
  • Knowledge of Mesh Networking
  • Knowledge of Routing (BGP)
  • Knowledge of Docker/Containers
