Job Summary
Systems Administrator for GCCS-J in a deployed DoD environment at Erbil Air Base (Iraq) with responsibilities including installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GCCS-J software and infrastructure; Windows and Linux server administration (Windows 11 AD/DNS, DHCP, GPO, PowerShell), patch management, vulnerability remediation, backups, and performance monitoring; DoD cybersecurity compliance; experience with VMware, Red Hat Linux 8, TCP/IP networking; support for Agile Client/Komodo environments; required TS clearance and DoD 8140 IAT II certification; 5+ years in DoD IT and GCCS-J environments; willingness to operate in overseas deployment settings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or Master’s with relevant experience)
- 8–12 years of relevant professional experience, or Master’s with 6–10 years
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance
- Current DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
- Minimum 5 years of IT and network administration experience within DoD environments
- 2–5 years of experience supporting and analyzing GCCS-J systems
- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting GCCS-J software and systems
- Strong experience with Active Directory and DNS environments
- PowerShell scripting and automation experience
- Windows DHCP
- Group Policy Objects (GPO)
- VMware administration experience
- Linux/Red Hat Linux administration (RHEL 8)
- TCP/IP networking fundamentals
- Experience supporting Agile Client / Komodo environments
- DoD patch management and vulnerability remediation knowledge
- Remote workstation and server management
