Job Summary
Deploy and support server and database services on-prem and in the cloud, managing infrastructure including Active Directory, DNS, monitoring, and backup/restore. Automate infrastructure as code using Git, CI/CD pipelines, PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform while maintaining documentation. Handle physical and virtual servers, SANs, and load balancers, supporting acquisitions with configurations and preventative maintenance. Provide real-time support to application and operation teams across production and test environments. Work on-call as needed to support business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience
- 4+ years direct systems administration work experience
- 4+ years database administration work experience
- 3+ years with cloud environments Azure/AWS/GCP
- DevOps mindset and tools like Git, GoCD/Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform
- Extensive experience required working with VMware virtual environments utilizing vSphere, Operations Manager, and vMotion
- Proficient in Nutanix administration
- Must be able to work on call as needed to support business needs
Desired Qualifications
- 4+ years direct systems administration work experience preferred
- 4+ years database administration work experience preferred
- Avamar/HYCU (Backup/Restore) expertise a plus
- Disaster Recovery Planning/Documenting/Implementing
- Effective written and oral communication skills; ability to utilize interpersonal skills to work with team members and business units within the company
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly terminology
