Job Summary
Install and configure software, hardware, and networks while monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues. Manage in-house computer systems and network connections to ensure high availability and security, and assist in planning policies for system provisioning consistent with regulatory requirements. Upgrade systems with new releases, maintain server backups, and coordinate software distribution. Perform onsite and remote technical support, including emergency on-call duties, while making recommendations for new equipment and services. Maintain documentation, interact with users and vendors, and follow safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, finance, accounting, or related degree or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of experience with Windows Server platforms with emphasis on Active Directory
- Experience with Windows 2012R2 or Higher
- Experience in LAN/WAN operations with solid knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations to include experience with Cisco routers and switches, Internet firewalls and wireless technology
- Ensures all changes are documented and follow the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) change management processes as defined by Corporate IT Standard Operating Procedures
- Strong background in Outlook and Exchange messaging systems
- Advanced hardware and software troubleshooting skills
- Virtualization experience in VMWARE, Hyper-V
- Knowledge of principles and theories of network systems and management
- Experience with data management
- Ability to identify and resolve a wide range of technical computer-related issues
- Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience
- Able to read, understand, and apply complex technical information
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with little supervision and have good time management skills
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Basic Windows scripting skills preferred
