Job Summary
Systems Administrator needed to support classified and unclassified IT systems for a defense-research organization. Role involves owning IT system operations, troubleshooting, and ensuring security/posture across Windows and Linux environments, virtualization (VMware ESXi/VCenter), storage (SAN/NAS/RAID), network design (LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers), centralized logging and auditing, backup solutions, and active directory/infrastructure services. Must have Active Secret Clearance and Security+ certification. Strong scripting (Perl, Python, Shell, PowerShell), Linux administration (RHEL), and VMware experience required. Onsite work in Lexington, MA five days a week. Benefits include PTO, tuition reimbursement, 401K, and remote work none indicated. The candidate should be capable of independent goal setting, effective communication, and rapid learning of new technologies. Responsibilities include installation/configuration/maintenance of IT/workstation/server/network infrastructure, software installation, user support, automation of operational tasks, asset management, documentation, and security procedure support.
Required Qualifications
- Must have an Active Secret Clearance
- Must have security+ certification
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years hands-on experience with Linux administration (RHEL)
- Scripting languages: Perl, Python, Shell Scripting, Powershell
- Windows Server Administration in SCI classified environment
- VMware ESXi/VCenter
- DNS, DHCP, Proxy and Load Balancing
- Active Directory, LDAP, SCCM
