Job Summary
Systems Administrator sought to support a defense-research organization and radar-system operations. Responsibilities include specifying, designing, implementing, and testing network and computer system configurations; developing and coordinating network security measures per government and organizational policies; identifying performance issues and providing upgrades; performing data backups and recoveries; assisting staff with computer and network problems; researching and recommending hardware/software products; procuring and renewing licenses; coordinating with vendors, security personnel, and other system administrators. Must have strong interpersonal/organizational skills, be team‐oriented, and able to produce documentation to satisfy certification and end-user needs. Experience in a Linux environment and scripting is required; DoD RMF compliance experience is highly desired. Nice-to-have: enterprise hardware/software (VMware ESX, NetAPP, Networker, Nagios, Ansible); programming languages (Perl, Python, C/C++); mission-critical environment exposure.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance (or higher)
- U.S. Citizenship
- 3 years RMF/security plans, procedures, and DoD 8140 compliance
- 3 years troubleshooting hardware issues
- 3 years troubleshooting network issues
- 3 years scripting and task automation
- 3 years Linux environment
- 5 years Systems Administration
- 3 years system documentation
