Job Summary
Systems Administrator 1 role supporting the Maryland/DC region for SageCor Solutions, requiring TS/SCI with Polygraph. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or five years of equivalent experience) and DoD 8570 IAM Level I or higher. Candidates must have experience configuring and managing Linux/Unix/Windows operating systems, installing/loading OS software, troubleshooting, maintaining network component integrity, and implementing OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Experience with VMware or similar hypervisors for managing virtual servers is required. The position emphasizes optimizing system operation and resource utilization, capacity planning, breaking down complex problem spaces, developing technical strategies, and tracking progress against baselines to meet customer expectations. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Five years of experience as a Systems Administrator in programs/contracts of similar scope
- DoD 8570 IAM Level I or higher
- At least one year of demonstrated experience with modern operating systems and network architectures
- At least one year of demonstrated experience in certification and accreditation, architecture development and design, risk assessments, and IA metrics gathering
- Experience configuring and managing Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems; installing/loading OS software; troubleshooting; maintaining integrity of and configuring network components; implementing OS enhancements
- Managing virtual servers through VMware or similar hypervisor products
