Job Summary
Develop and execute test plans and scripts to validate end-to-end systems, including analytical instruments, middleware, interfaces, and laboratory information systems (LIS). Lead or assist in information system validation for new assay methodologies, products, services, and equipment changes involving AS400, Omnitech, and Dynacare-specific platforms. Serve as a liaison between stakeholders to ensure adequate user and QA validation occurs, while documenting test scripts according to change control SOPs and maintaining a central knowledge base. Train and support staff across the organization performing validations and actively participate in project reviews to improve integration and validation processes. Review systems annually to monitor performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Health Studies or equivalent or experience working in information technology or health informatics
- A minimum of 1 year of prior experience in system validation or quality assurance
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others
- Knowledge of laboratory operations, processes and continuous improvement methodologies
- Capability of understanding the scientific and technical functions of the Operational departments
- Highly proficient with IT systems such as the Laboratory Information System (LIS) to access and analyze key data and create various reports
