Job Summary
System Software Engineer / Product Engineer (Hybrid Role) delivers end-to-end system software governance, platform integration, and quality across BIOS, firmware, OS, drivers, and other platform layers. Works with BIOS, EC, OS, driver teams, hardware, validation, ODMs, and suppliers to drive design reviews, integration readiness, bring-up, feature enablement, and sustaining activities; ensures compliance with system software standards and security. Defines and enforces end-to-end development and release processes, drives process standardization, and leads corrective actions for recurring issues. Acts as a technical interface between engineering teams and ODM partners,leading technical discussions, issue triage, and cross-time-zone collaboration with clear status and mitigation plans. Required skills include strong understanding of system software architecture, OS internals (Windows/Linux), device drivers or hardware-enabling software, debugging across hardware–firmware–OS boundaries, and knowledge of PCIe/USB/I2C; excellent communication and ability to operate in global, cross-site environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Typically, 3–8+ years of experience in system software, firmware, OS, or platform engineering roles.
