Job Summary
Develop and improve the media streaming stack to deliver ultra low latency, video quality, and network resilience for GeForce Now. Own the end-to-end software development cycle for features and modules, meeting performance, reliability, scalability, and sustainability requirements. Build tools for video performance and quality analysis, verification, and tuning, while defining metrics to leverage data for improving streaming performance and user experience. Participate in software reviews to contribute to design and code quality across the team, and evolve team processes and methodologies. This role requires proficiency in C, C++, and multi-threaded programming, with experience in video processing pipelines, WebRTC, and Linux/Windows platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in C, C++, Multi-threaded programming, System software design and debugging skills
- Experience implementing and improving perf and video quality through different stages of video processing pipeline
- Experience analyzing performance and CPU/ GPU resource utilization for video/ graphics applications
- Background with usage of different video capture, codec and render pipelines and API
- Experience with networking, WebRTC and other audio and video transport and handshake protocols
- Experience with development and debugging on Linux and Windows platforms
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related subjects (or equivalent experience) with 3+ years of experience in above areas
Desired Qualifications
- Passionate about gaming and its immersive experiences
- Skilled in graphics technologies such as DirectX, Vulkan, CUDA, and OpenGL
- Knowledgeable in the Android graphics framework and low-latency video streaming solutions, including NVIDIA video encoder
- Proficient in audio/video driver interfaces across platforms and familiar with telemetry, visualization tools, and data analysis
