Job Summary
Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. Analyze design requirements to determine coding, programming, and integration activities based on overall product architecture. Write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation while identifying and debugging code issues. Lead a project team of software systems engineers and development partners to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions. Collaborate with management and partners on design status, project progress, and issue resolution. Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Typically 5+ years of experience
- Good in programming (python preferred)
- Designing and leading a module/component of a larger solution, independently
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Exposure on Networking basics
- Exposure on AI/ML basics
- Good exposure on Linux platform internals
- Good in system software development
- Onsite work expectation at an HPE office
