Job Summary

Lead System Security Engineering (SSE) program execution and guide program-level system, software, and hardware architects through strategic input and planning in an agile development environment. Perform task lead duties including planning, product ownership, and scrum master responsibilities while implementing SSE solutions into RTX products. Interact with customers to define requirements, solutions, trades, costs, and system impacts, and support developing plans, estimates, task execution, project tracking, and risk mitigation. Attack threat modeling and critical program information assessments, develop top-level system requirements, and ensure compliance with DoD technology release and export licensing policies. Assist program line management with SSE architectures and issues, support bid and proposal development, and work with Earned Value Management (EVM).

Required Qualifications

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Secret - Current Security Clearance Status: Active and existing security clearance required on day 1
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience in technical leadership
  • Experience in the fields of System Security Engineering, computer technology reverse engineering, AT, cybersecurity or embedded security
  • Experience designing, implementing, testing, and fielding real-time embedded security-oriented solutions on Department of Defense (DoD) programs with secure systems technologies, methodologies, policies and guidelines
  • Experience generating security (AT and/or program protection) requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans and/or policies

Desired Qualifications

  • The ability to obtain and maintain additional program access as required
  • Experience in design, development and fielding of SSE systems
  • Software, Firmware, & Microelectronics Engineering
  • Cryptography and FPGA design
  • Attack threat modeling / Critical Program Information Assessments
  • Experience in the implementation and business growth of SSE implementation throughout the entire life cycle
  • Experience in solutions meeting robust SSE systems security requirements
  • Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Computer Science, Engineering Science, Business Administration, and/or Robotics
  • DoD Top Secret clearance with current SSBI within last 5 years desired
  • Cyber Certifications in accordance with DoDD 8570/DoDD 8140 such as CISSP, GSLC, CEH
  • Program management experience with SSE
  • Broad understanding of technology and working knowledge of DODI-S-5230.28
  • Aircraft/weapons integration experience
  • Strategic planning and proposal writing skills
  • Candidate must exhibit an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with coworkers, suppliers, stakeholders, and customers in a team environment
  • Experience contributing in a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to technical problems
