Job Summary
Execute the safety strategy for the program to integrate system safety and human system integration features into the product while meeting all milestones and contract compliance. Support the program schedule by integrating system safety tasks into the Integrated Master Schedule and engage with engineering leads for technical guidance and artifact reviews. Ensure program leadership understands safety requirements, hazards, and planned mitigations by attending multi-IPT meetings and delivering internal and external commitments. Own technical solutions and collaborate across engineering functions to realize successful product development and test outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
- Active and existing security clearance
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience with risk assessment concepts
- Experience with creating technical reports, technical writing and/or creating presentations
- Experience performing MIL-STD-882 System Safety Program tasks and analyses, involving management (task series 100), analysis (task series 200), evaluation (task series 300), and verification (task series 400)
- Experience reviewing software code and requirements for safety considerations
- Experience interfacing with other engineering functions: Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering
Desired Qualifications
- Active/transferable DoD security clearance
- Experience with test equipment & test equipment safety, in a laboratory setting
