System Operator III - Water/Wastewater Utility

Operate and maintain wastewater and water treatment facilities and related equipment (pumps, lift stations, and associated systems) under the Field Supervisor’s direction. Perform inspections, collect and analyze water and wastewater samples for regulatory compliance and process control, prepare technical reports for IEPA/ICC, and respond to customer service/work orders. Maintain accurate records, follow operating instructions, communicate effectively with internal customers, and support additional tasks or projects as assigned. This role requires safe operation of facilities, adherence to regulatory requirements, and willingness to travel to job sites; this is a union position.
