Job Summary
Provide direct support to the government program office responsible for linking sensors and weapons to enable Naval Integrated Fire Control capability. Analyze design concepts, flight and ground test methods, and capability delivery considerations to create optimal solutions while identifying and resolving software design and tactical operations issues. Coordinate interdisciplinary solutions among government and contractor partners and participate in technical conferences to bring advanced technologies to NAVAIR. This role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, ten years of technical experience with sensors, weapons, and tactical data links, and an active Secret clearance with potential for Top Secret. Located in Lexington Park, MD, with moderate travel and a salary range of $143,660 to $215,490.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or in physical sciences from a regionally-accredited college or university
- A minimum of ten (10) years of technical experience across varied fields, including the design and performance of sensors and weapons, tactical data links, and naval command and control
- Active secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain a final DoD Top Secret security clearance within six months of start date
- On-site location in Lexington Park, MD
- Moderate (10% to 25%) travel to government and contractor facilities, test sites, or technical meetings and conferences
- Flexible working hours including standard government work hour support and surge support during integration and test phases
- Ability to troubleshoot system-to-system relationships leading to unified solutions
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or in physical sciences from a regionally-accredited college or university
- Experience within the integration of platforms, sensors, and weapons across Navy kill chains
- Active top secret security clearance
