Job Summary
Configure and maintain servers, operating systems, desktops, routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure system enterprise connectivity. Interface with Air Force and DoD personnel for Ground Control Stations, Unified Video Distribution Systems, and long-haul communication support. Analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain RPA-SOC computer and network systems, including LAN/WAN communications and Microsoft Windows operations. Administer network security infrastructure, checkpoint firewalls, and intrusion detection systems while coordinating updates to minimize vulnerabilities. Respond to alerts, perform root cause analysis, and maintain logs for trending analysis. Maintain current documentation and execute preventive maintenance inspections on IT systems. Work varying shifts as required to support mission execution, intelligence, and communications.
Required Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in system/network administration troubleshooting and support
- Comprehensive knowledge of Active Directory, switching, routing, IT cabling, patch panels, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software
- Comprehensive knowledge of server and desktop operating systems and applications
- Ability to analyze and suggest recommended improvements to the industrial control system programs and systems to meet industry standards and best practices
- Strong IT Customer Support skills; ability to quickly interpret/decipher requests and trouble reporting for large non-IT customer bases
- Ability to work varying shifts, as required; ability to work independently on shifts as required, after initial training
- Familiarity with network security best practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively
- DOD 8140/8570.01 Certification (i.e., CompTIA Security+)
- Experience as a System Administrator or Network Administrator (or a similar role)
- Experience with maintaining essential IT and OT network operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, and workstations
- Familiarity with security systems, including security groups, group policy, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentications systems, log management, and content filtering
- Must have an active Secret Security Clearance, with the ability to upgrade to Top Secret Clearance
