Job Summary
Interpret data, install, test, maintain, and repair electronic transmitting/receiving equipment, personal computers, and terminals. Develop, modify, and maintain complex programs, redesign program specifications, and solve major computer problems requiring analysis of various equipment. Wire and integrate field devices to PLCs, troubleshoot ladder logic, and program controllers to respond to analog and digital process control equipment. Perform duties as assigned while adhering to safety, quality, and procedure compliance standards. Valid driver's license, hard-toed safety shoes, and successful government security investigation are required. US citizenship is necessary for facility credentials at Kings Bay, Georgia.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Four (4) years of experience with electronics or electronic control systems
- Two (2) years of formal training
- Working knowledge of various software including Windows 2000, Window NT, Windows XP, RSLinx, RSLogix, lntellution, Microsoft Excel, Logic Master, Logix, API, and Al
- Working knowledge of a variety of network protocols and general knowledge of networks including resolution process, IP addresses, LM Host, Host files, TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, net bias, and ethernet
- Working knowledge of Ladder Logic with the ability to troubleshoot, modify and program
- Ability to wire and integrate different field devices to various types of PLC and program PLCs to accept and respond to those devices
- Knowledge of field devices including valves, flow meters, transmitters, process control equipment, motor pump control circuits, level indicators, bubblers, and other devices both analog and digital
- Possession of the tools of the trade
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to wear hard-toed safety shoes which meet ASTM F2413-0S standards
- Eligibility for government security investigation and access to Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay
- Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
- US Citizenship
