System Engineer Sr./Lead (HR-0449)

Job Summary
Track and trend system performance, maintain system operability, and prepare disposition reports for assigned engineering systems. Conduct feasibility studies, evaluate technologies, and perform research to validate design concepts. Lead project engineering functions by monitoring progress, preparing procedures, and identifying issues. Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for lower-level positions while providing technical support to operations. Evaluate proposed modifications for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain required training and qualifications, actively participate in Safety Work Groups, and perform duties safely in office or field environments involving potential exposure to hazardous materials.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in a related field
- 7 years of related experience
- 1 year nuclear experience
- Experience in Civil/Structural Engineering
- The ability to obtain/maintain 'L' or 'Q' Clearance one year from hire date
- Must have the ability to climb Ladders, and steps
- Accurate distance, near and depth vision is required
- Foot, Eye and Hearing protection are required to be worn when working outside of the office environment
- Ability to perform sedentary to moderate work, exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally, non-repetitive, up to 20 pounds frequently, repetitive; performing such activities as lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, grasping, kneeling, stooping, reaching
- Ability to perform primary office duties including heavy computer usage
- In some cases, radiological training may be required including the ability to wear respiratory protection and disposable PPE
