System Engineer - Retail IT Operations

Job Summary
Hands-on System Engineer role supporting POS, Back Office, Forecourt, and Payment technologies across Circle K's European retail estate. Serve as a Tier 2 technical expert, supporting L1 and L3 teams, collaborate with stores, vendors, and cross-border teams. Responsibilities include configuring, maintaining, and supporting devices and applications; managing store lifecycle activities (new openings, migrations, closures); software rollouts, patching, and security updates; incident resolution and problem management; monitoring system uptime; supporting WAN/LAN/Wi‐Fi; coordinating with key vendors to maintain SLA; contributing to continuous improvement, documentation, and training. Requires IT Diploma or Degree with 3–5 years in IT operations, strong troubleshooting, ITSM/ITIL familiarity, and English plus local language proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- IT Diploma or Degree
- 3–5 years’ experience in IT operations, service desk, field service, or retail IT
- Hands-on support experience in multi-site or distributed environments
- Knowledge of POS, Back Office, Forecourt, and Payment systems
- Experience with ITSM tools and ITIL processes
- Fluent in English and the local country language
