System Engineer - Retail IT Operations

Job Summary
System Engineer for Circle K Retail IT Operations across Europe. Owns Tier 2 technical support for POS, Back Office, Forecourt, and Payment systems; configures, maintains, and supports devices/applications across the retail estate; drives store lifecycle activities (new openings, migrations, closures); manages software rollouts, patches, and security updates; resolves incidents and problems; monitors system alerts to ensure uptime; supports WAN/LAN/Wi‐Fi services; collaborates with vendors to ensure SLA performance; contributes to continuous improvement and thorough documentation; delivers training and supports project initiatives; requires IT Diploma/Degree and 3–5 years in IT operations or retail IT; strong troubleshooting, ITIL/ITSM familiarity, and ability to coordinate across multiple sites and vendors; English and local language fluency.
Required Qualifications
- IT Diploma or Degree
- 3–5 years’ experience in IT operations, service desk, field service, or retail IT
- Hands-on support experience in multi-site or distributed environments
- Knowledge of POS, Back Office, Forecourt, and Payment systems
- Background in convenience – IT retail or fuel is highly beneficial
- Experience with TSG and Dover solutions are an advantage
- Experience with Eurodata solutions is an advantage
- Strong troubleshooting skills and understanding of IT infrastructure
- Familiarity with ITSM tools and ITIL processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities
- Ability to coordinate work across multiple sites and vendors
- Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell) are a plus
- Strong documentation, organization, and time-management skills
- Fluent in English and the local country language
