System Engineer – Managed Kubernetes

Job Summary
System Engineer in Leaseweb's Container Services team focused on automating deployment, monitoring, and management of Kubernetes clusters across Leaseweb's compute offerings. responsibilities include evaluating and integrating new Kubernetes versions, supporting customers and development teams, delivering full lifecycle features, writing customer-facing documentation, and contributing to runbooks. Required skills include hands-on Kubernetes experience, production cluster management, Helm/Kustomize, GitOps (ArgoCD or similar), CKAs or equivalent Kubernetes networking/storage knowledge, Linux proficiency, and strong communication. Nice-to-have skills include CKSS, scripting (Shell/Python), CI/CD tooling, additional Kubernetes ecosystem tools, Go, IaC (Chef, Ansible, Terraform), cloud platforms (OpenStack/CloudStack), and open-source contributions. Remote-first role with Amsterdam HQ, offering relocation packages and visa support.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Experience operating Kubernetes at scale
- Proficiency with Helm and Kustomize
- Experience with ArgoCD or similar GitOps tool
- CKA or demonstrable knowledge of Kubernetes networking and storage
- Experience architecting cloud-native applications with resiliency & scalability
- Solid knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu and Flatcar)
- Good communication skills in English
