Job Summary
System Engineer (Linux - RedHat) responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining Linux-based environments for Intelerad's medical imaging software. Focus on automation, reliability, security, and performance across servers, networks, and storage; collaborate with engineering/ops; contribute to documentation and knowledge transfer. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5–7+ years Linux admin experience, RHEL proficiency/certification, PostgreSQL expertise, scripting (Shell/Python/PowerShell), on-call availability, and ability to work under pressure. Healthcare IT exposure and cloud experience (AWS) are a plus. Remote work within the United States is supported.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- 5-7+ years of system administration experience in Linux-based environments
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) certification or equivalent hands-on experience
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL
- Scripting and automation skills in Shell, Python, or PowerShell
- Solid understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems, networking, and storage
- On-call support for critical production systems is required
- May serve as technical escalation point for high-severity incidents
