Job Summary
System Engineer I role based in Bengaluru, India, performing manual testing of medical device software applications and end-to-end integration workflows. Responsibilities include creating, reviewing, and executing detailed test cases and plans; analyzing software functionality to identify issues and ensure alignment with product requirements; documenting and reporting system issues for replication by engineering; collaborating with developers, QA, and product managers to ensure regulatory compliance; participating in root cause analysis and corrective actions; designing automated experimental workflows and integrating instruments with software pipelines; and continuously improving testing processes to enhance product quality and user experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (any relevant discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Computer Science, etc.)
- Strong expertise in manual testing for medical device software systems
- Strong analytical thinking to identify diverse workflows, design effective test scenarios, and optimize test coverage
- Proven experience in software system integration testing
- Proven experience in end-to-end testing
- Experience in workflow-based testing and validation
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of automation concepts and testing practices
- Familiarity with lab workflow automation
- ISTQB certification would be a plus
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to validate AI-generated outputs and apply sound judgment
