Job Summary
Design, manage, and optimize enterprise database environments, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and data integrity practices. Implement and support virtualization and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions while monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting disaster recovery efforts. Partner with infrastructure, security, application, and data teams to support business objectives across on-premises and cloud platforms. Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement within hybrid infrastructure environments. This role requires 5+ years of experience in cloud systems administration and strong hands-on skills with relational and non-relational databases. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience in cloud systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or a related technology role
- Strong hands-on experience with both relational and non-relational databases (Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar)
- Experience managing cloud infrastructure in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience supporting VDI solutions such as Azure Virtual Desktop, VMware Horizon, or similar technologies
- Strong understanding of hybrid infrastructure environments
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, backup and recovery strategies, and infrastructure security best practices
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within a financial institution or other regulated environment
- PowerShell scripting and automation experience
- Experience with enterprise storage, monitoring, and observability tools
- Relevant Microsoft, Azure, or VMware certifications
