System Engineer - Data Platform (APAC Region)

Job Summary
Install, configure, and administer enterprise Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server databases across production and non-production environments in the APAC region. Execute migrations, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle activities while ensuring security, availability, and performance. Manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and AWS workloads, including Exadata, Autonomous Database, RDS, and Aurora. Automate operational processes using Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform and Ansible to improve efficiency and support CI/CD pipelines. Monitor platform health via Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch, and resolve critical incidents during on-call rotations. Collaborate with global teams in a follow-the-sun support model to maintain stability of mission-critical financial systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 7+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, Cloud DBA, Database Administrator, or Database Systems Engineer
- Strong hands-on Oracle administration experience in enterprise environments
- Deep knowledge of Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle ASM, Oracle RMAN, Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Exadata, Oracle Performance Tuning
- Experience supporting Oracle workloads in OCI
- Experience supporting databases hosted in AWS environments
- Strong Linux/Unix administration skills
- Experience supporting mission-critical production systems with strict SLA requirements
- Knowledge of database security, compliance, and operational governance best practices
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities

- Oracle: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Oracle Certified Master (OCM), OCI Foundations Associate, OCI Architect Associate / Professional, OCI Database Professional Certification
- AWS: AWS Certified Database Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- Automation & Operations: HashiCorp Terraform Associate, ITIL Foundation
Desired Qualifications
- PostgreSQL administration experience, including replication, backup/recovery, monitoring, and performance tuning
- Experience with one or more of: Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL / MariaDB
