Job Summary
System Engineer responsibilities include high-level system design and documenting requirements, specifications, and design plans; development of operations concepts to guide future system/software requirements; functional analysis and decomposition of requirements; providing engineering support during system integration and testing to verify conformance with NSA Test & Evaluation standards; preparing test plans and reports for government approval; evaluating technical standards and updating documents such as CONOPs and ICDs; implementing processes across software development and process engineering (configuration management, QA, risk management, project tracking); and coordinating deployment and knowledge transfer to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Field or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- 1+ years of systems engineering experience (Level 0) OR Master’s degree with 1+ year experience (Level 1) OR higher years per Level 2/3/4 qualifications
- Ability to develop and document system requirements, CONOPs, ICDs, and test plans
- Experience with system integration, testing, and government-style approvals
- Understanding of configuration management, quality assurance, risk management, and project tracking
