Job Summary
System Engineer to support chiller/heat pump product development by integrating multiple technologies. Responsibilities include thermodynamic design, modeling, and optimization of chiller systems; developing system architecture to meet development requirements; drafting Design and Safety FMEAs and qualification plans; designing and optimizing heat exchangers; integrating compressor design with the chiller; defining control requirements to meet performance and reliability targets; validating design via laboratory and field testing; preparing test reports and data reduction; collaborating with supply chain to meet cost targets and with manufacturing to implement design into production; and documenting best practices. Requires a Master’s degree or higher in refrigeration/cryogenics or heat transfer, 2+ years experience (PhD welcome with 0 years), proficiency with engineering software/tools, and strong teamwork and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or above
- Major in Refrigeration & Cryogenics, Heat Transfer, or related engineering disciplines
- Minimum 2 years of working experience (PhD candidates welcome with 0 years)
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience with Python, Fortran, C, Matlab, or VBA for engineering simulation or optimization
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a global team environment
- Experience with chiller/heat pump product development preferred
