Job Summary
System Developer responsible for building and maintaining Laravel/PHP applications on Bahrain operations. Role involves backend design and optimization using Laravel Core & PHP 8.x (OOP, MVC, Routing, Middleware, Artisan CLI), managing database interactions with Eloquent ORM, migrations, and seeders, and implementing secure RESTful APIs with authentication (Sanctum/Passport) while mitigating vulnerabilities (SQL injection, CSRF). Requires frontend integration using Blade, JavaScript (Vue.js/React), and CSS frameworks (Bootstrap); adherence to PSR standards, documentation, and automated testing. Collaborate with teams via Git, explain concepts to non-technical stakeholders, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and support DevOps activities including Docker, Laravel Forge, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS cloud, with a focus on deployment, troubleshooting, and monitoring. Preferred certifications in software development, cloud, or DevOps tools; strong problem-solving and debugging skills; experience with AWS deployment and containerization; portfolio of clean, well-documented code. The selected candidates will join VAM Systems – Bahrain and be deputed to one of the leading Organizations in Bahrain.
Required Qualifications
- Strong professional experience in Laravel/PHP development and related frameworks
- Hands-on expertise in backend, frontend, and API security
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality code repositories with testing and documentation
- Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, CI/CD, AWS)
- Familiarity with Laravel Forge or similar deployment tooling
- Experience with Git and collaborative development
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with RESTful APIs and authentication (Sanctum/Passport)
- Experience with frontend integration (Blade, JavaScript frameworks)
